Caulfeild Cove Clean Up

Heading back to Caulfield to hit the rest of the bay. The multiple times there before was concentrated on the garbage pile under 2 of the buoys.

We’ve recon’d the rest of the bay and there’s still plenty but a little more spread out. Empties, goldballs 😉 and tires among other stuff, as always.

This clean up was instigated by Amanda Williams (PADI Instructor) and she has asked us to help out. Part of her course requirements with the community, as a Cap U Tourism Student, and combines an environmental side too.

There is not much public parking so we’ll meet to carpool as/usual. I’ll be meeting at OQ for 9AM to organize the divers from there and start the carpool caravan. North Shore Divers can meet at the EDGE and the caravan will roll by, about 9:40AM to carry on to the site. It’s a bit tricky to get to and find.

Going for dives with good friends is always a lot of fun. Going for dives AND doing something great for the environment just adds a big bonus to the day! This is a great way for me to keep active in the dive community and hopefully it will contribute to making our corner of the world just a little better than how we found it.
